SeaLife Park!

Have you been to SeaLife Park?

Here's a little bit of information about the park, what to expect and what you might want to bring.

One of our family's favorite things about the park is the dolphin show.  Today the show was at 12:15pm at the dolphin lagoon and it did not disappoint. The trainers work not only to entertain but also educate the audience on the sea life and ocean/dolphin conservation.

Great things about Sea Life Park...

It's not huge, not overwhelming

They offer different educational shows every 15 minutes

Lots of clean bathrooms

Lots of food options

There's a great small playground

Very stroller friendly

There are cooling/misting stations

Opportunities to purchase an "up close and personal" shark or dolphin experience

Parking available on the property for $5

Lots of hand sanitizing stations available.

What else would you add?

I think the best discount on tickets can be found at the MWR ITT ticket offices. Children (ages 3 to 12) are $15 and adults are $23, no taxes or fees added.

If you purchase your military or kamaaina (locals) tickets online you will pay taxes and fees. If you buy tickets without a discount at Sea Life Park they are $39.99 for adults, $24.99 for kids.

We love the bird aviary!

The aviary attendants will give you one stick of food to offer to the birds.  The birds will land on your stick to eat -- sometimes even on your shoulder or head. My kids and I always enjoy this section of the park.

In the touch area you'll find this adorable little viewing tunnel for kids (or flexible adults!)

After the dolphin show we had a chance to talk with the dolphin trainers and ask questions, they were excellent and informative.

Don't forget to take a stroll on the "ocean view garden" next to the dolphin theatre.

The park has one of the only wholphins (whale dolphin!) on our planet!

The playground is a great spot to enjoy -- especially when your kids need a break from all the shows and activities.

The Dole Whip at the snack stand by the playground. One serving is enough to share!

What to bring --
Water
Sunscreen
Wear comfortable shoes for walking
Bring a bathing suit and towel if you plan on a hands-on experience
$5 for parking
Mask

(You're not technically supposed to bring snacks)

There is a food court plus a snack shack. The food options looked pretty good with a garlic butter shrimp platter, Pink's hot dogs with fries, pulled pork tacos and even alcoholic drinks. There are prepackaged sandwiches, fruit, spam musubi, and drinks for purchase.

Recommend a visit here to Sea Life Park!  It's a unique spot on Oahu.  You can also attend the Ka Moana Luau at Sea Life Park. We really enjoy their show and meal and pre-show activities!
