Stage Restaurant in the Honolulu Design Center

Have you ever tried Stage Restaurant in the Honolulu Design Center?

My family and I went last night and it was phenomenal!  From the visually appealing  dining space, to the knowledgeable servers  and the taste of the food -- everything was terrific.

There is free parking (it was free after 430pm for us on Saturday anyway!) if you enter the parking garage off Pensacola. You could also park at the Ala Moana mall and walk the block or 2 over to the restaurant.

Here's the entryway once you pass through the Amuse Bar and the Inspire furniture store, on the 2nd floor.

This is a picture of the Amuse Bar, neat looking with the wine bottles ...
 More of the Amuse Bar...
Beautiful and interesting lighting over each table, thought these were branches until I looked closer -- it is human figures!
Here's a BIG window view into the kitchen from the restaurant. I love it when you can see the chefs preparing the food, rather, their works of art!
Another beautiful light fixture -- this place is really "The Stage", prepare to be entertained with your waiter and waitress' presentation of your meal!
Before our appetizers came we were given these lovely bread rolls with an delicious, creamy smoked ahi tuna dip. And a little soup chaser.
Dan ordered a "Smoke Bomb" off the special drink menu (see menus below) and I ordered a wonderful passion fruit with vodka drink called "Mo Fosho".
We decided to go with our waiter's suggestion and try the lobster bisque -- it was The. Bomb.      ...So creamy and wonderful.
Between appetizers and our entrees we were each presented with a "palate cleanser" -- a scoop of refreshing sorbet. The kids were absolutely delighted. Of course.
My hubby ordered the Beef Wellington as his entree, it was superb!
I ordered the sashimi off the appetizer menu as my entree because I love sashimi!  It was so lovely and tasty.

As the sun went down outside the restaurant windows, the cotton candy clouds, hanging over our heads, began to illuminate!
For dessert, Dan tried the "Warm Dutch Apple Banana" treat!  He loved it. I didn't even get a bite! We'll have to go back!

Lovely sitting areas in the restaurant.
Our son's chocolate cake with whipped cream and strawberries.
We HAD to try the cotton candy as we learned from our foodie neighbor, who also came here, that the cotton candy comes presented on a glass manikin head!  So funny and delightful.
We love these little toys that we purchased for $20 on Amazon a couple years ago for restaurant entertainment. We put about 100 in a bag for each kid and they are happily occupied between courses!

Dessert menu...

Shrimp tempura (with heads on!!) appetizer -- excellent
They offer noodles with cheese and butter for kids or pizza! A hit with our son!

Part of the drink menu
Appetizers and entrees
Cocktail menu

We would give this restaurant 5 stars!  Can't wait to go back again!!  Although everything was so good, we kind of "rolled" out of there -- so full!! Next time we'll order less! Ha.
